While we wait for our two cars to ready for the road, this week's facts focuses on wait time that goes along with importing a car to the east coast!

When shipping a vehicle from Japan to the East coast of the US, it takes roughly a month on the water (25-30 days). Most of the time, the vessel will travel across the Pacific, down the West coast, through the Panama Canal (this is where most, if any, delays happen), and on up the East coast!

It's not every day that a vehicle-transporting vessel leaves Japan heading toward the US. Because of this, it usually takes 2-3 weeks between purchasing a vehicle in Japan and finally getting it on a ship.
