A Mother's Dream

It always seems to surprise people when a nice car is "girl-owned". Gender roles aside, this car is owned by a girl. Not only is it owned by a girl, it's owned by a mother.

Dreams aren't always complicated. Sometimes all it takes is a black set of rims and a 2003 Nissan 350z. My mom has always fancied Z's. She tells me about how the first car she got over 100mph was a 240z, and she talks about how much she likes that they look like Porsches (even she doesn't actually want a Porsche).

So that's where this car comes in. It's just perfect for her. The color, the rims, the condition. It was like a match made in heaven for her, and I still remember the day she found it on the lot. Obviously I was happy, too, but the happiness this car brings her greatly exceeds any happiness it brings me (and that's saying a lot).

It's subtle, simple, yet taken care of. Driven as a weekend-fun car, this 350z is undoubtably a dream for my mom. She spent years dreaming about a car exactly like this, and driving anything else killed her. We all know the feeling. Thankfully my mom was able to finally find, and own, her dream.

Even though she didn't know (at the time) that I took her car out for a shoot while she was away from her house, I'd like to thank my mom for letting me borrow her favorite child for a little while. Oh, and I'd like to thank her for everything else she does for me (which is a lot)
