No Matter the Distance

There's luxury, and then there's performance. When both of these qualities intersect in a vehicle, you're usually looking at hefty price tag. Chad Anderson didn't care what it took, he knew what his dream car was, and he did everything he needed to until he could drive it.

 You're looking at the Jaguar XK-R. The first XK series are arguably the most common Jaguars seen today. For most, it's one of the only Jaguar's they'll ever see, and they probably don't even know it (it's not that attractive of a car). The new XK's, on the other hand, are very refined, and you definitely remember when you see one.

 This is exactly how it happened for Chad. As soon as he saw the new XK-R in person he knew. He knew that this was the car of his dreams. Of course, it's a Jaguar, so price was a concern, but Chad waited 7 years to get his finances in order for the perfect opportunity.

 Most people don't keep the same car for 7 years, much less dream of the same car for 7 years. So when Chad found the perfect XK-R, and in the perfect color, it didn't matter how far away it was. He was going to own it.

 Unfortunately, Chad finally found this perfect Jaguar up for sale in Salt Lake City... 2200 miles away. So he had no choice. He had to buy a ticket for a 2200 mile flight and drive his dream home, and he did.

 I have no question that the drive was amazing. What better way to get to know your finally obtained dream car than drive it 2200 miles all by yourself? That alone sounds like a dream (especially if it's a Jaguar!). Just look at the interior. I could sit in it for 2200 miles!

 With a peak torque of 461 pound-feet right out of the gate, XK-R's are nothing to laugh at. This car can move, and move quick. While Jaguars don't have too many aftermarket options, Chad still was able to improve the exhaust and it looking toward some other small modifications. Lets be honest though, a car like this doesn't need much in way of improvement.

 I'm glad I was able to get into contact with Chad. His Jaguar puts yet another kind of car on the board for this page, and shows that dreams come in all styles and builds. While this car isn't hard to fall in love with, I believe Chad loves it more than anyone else could, and that gives it every right to be on this page.

 I'd like to think Chad for his patience and time. When I first heard this Jaguar pull up I knew it was going to be a special shoot. I have no doubt that this car will be loved for as long as it stays together, and absolutely treated like a dream.
