Not a DSM

Like the illegitimate love child of every 90's Japanese supercar, the VR-4 is no stranger to being awesome.
Oh yeah, and it's not a DSM.

When he's not hunting sharks, picking up heavy things and putting them down, or building really fast cars, Dane's working one of his own fast things. This is one of them; a Mitsubishi VR-4. With AWD, turbos, and an hourglass shape, it's obvious that VR-4's got a lot right.

I don't claim to know much, so the distinction between this Mitsubishi and it's twinned counterpart; the Dodge Stealth, wasn't very obvious to me (other than the appearance differences). When Dane gave me the run down I learned they're not that different after all, but the VR-4 is just cooler.

The love for this AWD monster was created in Dane by his father, who owned a similar vehicle when he was just about driving age. Almost like foreshadowing his automotive future, Dane knew from that point that he'd end up with a VR-4 of his own. He previously owned a less AWD, less HP version of this car (same color and all), but has recently upgraded to what you see today.

Dane has the uncanny knack of coming across cars for good deals (something we'd all kill for), but he never squanders it. While juggling motorcycles, turbos, sharks, and other cars, Dane makes time for his deep love for this car. He's been slowly building this car from the bottom up, and he'll most likely continue to do it for years to come.

If there's one thing I learned during this shoot it's that this VR-4 is in good hands. I've seen this Mitsubishi improving ever since Dane has owned it. I love seeing this car in person, as everyone does, and is truly a match made in automotive heaven.

Oh yeah, and it's not a DSM.

I'd like to thank Dane for his time planning this shoot, and I'd like to thank Jonathan Perrier for being my designated driver. I couldn't do any of this without everyone's help, and that's what makes it great.

Love this car! I am a bit partial though, as a fellow 3000GT owner. Just met Dane a few months back at C&C. Great Guy.
