It's small. It's red. It's an MR2.
Sarah LaVoie's first generation MR2 is an awesome vehicle, and is treated like it was built to be.

More-so with second generations, MR2's have always been regarded as the 'Poor Man's Ferrari'. I don't think there's a bigger insult in the world! Sure, it's an affordable mid-engine vehicle, but it shouldn't be put in a group with Ferrari's. This is a beauty of its own.

With a boxy, edgy style, AW11 MR2's are unlike anything else. Sarah has loved these pint sized heroes since her dad owned one. Once she was able to get her hands on one it was no question, this thing was going to be her own.

Is it fast? Not exactly. But that doesn't stop Sarah from treating this car right. There's a fine line between driving a car hard and beating one up; Sarah falls on the good side. This little red rocket has its work cut out for it when Sarah gets behind the wheel, but I don't think it'd like it any other way.

Honestly, there's nothing quite like the first generation MR2's. Never having ridden in a vehicle like this, it was pretty impressive. You quickly forget there's and engine behind you, and the size isn't bad! For its time, and even today, this car is an impressive vehicle.

When's she's not welding, she's behind the wheel of this amazing car. Sarah knows what it takes to keep a car that's a little on the older side. With a paint job she did herself (I know, it's awesome), this AW11 will continue to impress anyone in the area, and what more could a car ask for?

I'd like to thank Sarah for all her time, and for finally meeting me. Even though I get the short pleasure of seeing her car around town, I still loved being able to learn all about it up close and personal. I can't wait to see what else there is to come, and hopefully shooting it again!
